Based in Norwich, salary £50k (Monday to Friday) with no on-call requirements. Full-time position.

We require a Plant Mechanic/Engineer to attend any local site(s) of the company to diagnose and repair any broken-down or defective item of construction plant/vehicle. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain, service and repair all heavy plant machinery.
  • Welding and fabrication work.
  • Electrical diagnostics and hydraulics.
  • Comply with Health and Safety documentation (including COSHH).
  • Undertake daily tasks in strict compliance with Safe Working Procedures (SWPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs).
  • Perform any other task(s) as reasonably requested by senior management.

Plant equipment includes, but is not limited to:

  • On-site Combi lifts and side loaders.
  • Telehandlers.
  • Genie and Manitou access platforms/scissor lifts.
  • Liebherr mobile cranes.
  • HGV tractor units.
  • HGV articulated trailers – including ‘trombone’ and ‘rear-steer’ units.
  • LGVs and panel vans.
  • Passenger vehicles and pick-up trucks.
