We require a Plant Mechanic/Engineer to attend any local site(s) of the company to diagnose and repair any broken-down or defective item of construction plant/vehicle. Responsibilities include:
- Maintain, service and repair all heavy plant machinery.
- Welding and fabrication work.
- Electrical diagnostics and hydraulics.
- Comply with Health and Safety documentation (including COSHH).
- Undertake daily tasks in strict compliance with Safe Working Procedures (SWPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs).
- Perform any other task(s) as reasonably requested by senior management.
Plant equipment includes, but is not limited to:
- On-site Combi lifts and side loaders.
- Telehandlers.
- Genie and Manitou access platforms/scissor lifts.
- Liebherr mobile cranes.
- HGV tractor units.
- HGV articulated trailers – including ‘trombone’ and ‘rear-steer’ units.
- LGVs and panel vans.
- Passenger vehicles and pick-up trucks.
