Based in Norwich, we require a Plant Mechanic/Engineer to attend any local site(s) of the company to diagnose and repair any broken-down or defective item of construction plant/vehicle. The role involves maintaining, servicing, and repairing all heavy plant machinery. Job responsibilities include:
- Welding and fabrication work
- Electrical diagnostics
- Hydraulics
- Compliance with Health and Safety documentation (including COSHH)
- Undertaking daily tasks in strict compliance with Safe Working Procedures (SWPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs)
- Any other task(s) as reasonably requested by senior management
Plant equipment includes, but is not limited to:
- On-site Combi lifts and Side loaders
- Telehandlers
- Genie and Manitou access platforms/scissor lifts
- Liebherr Mobile Crane(s)
- HGV Tractor Unit(s)
- HGV Articulated Trailer(s) - including 'trombone' and 'rear-steer' units
- LGVs and Panel Vans
- Passenger vehicles and Pick-up Trucks
