Based in Norwich, we require a Plant Mechanic/Engineer to attend any local site(s) of the company to diagnose and repair any broken-down or defective item of construction plant/vehicle. The role involves maintaining, servicing, and repairing all heavy plant machinery. Job responsibilities include:

  • Welding and fabrication work
  • Electrical diagnostics
  • Hydraulics
  • Compliance with Health and Safety documentation (including COSHH)
  • Undertaking daily tasks in strict compliance with Safe Working Procedures (SWPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs)
  • Any other task(s) as reasonably requested by senior management

Plant equipment includes, but is not limited to:

  • On-site Combi lifts and Side loaders
  • Telehandlers
  • Genie and Manitou access platforms/scissor lifts
  • Liebherr Mobile Crane(s)
  • HGV Tractor Unit(s)
  • HGV Articulated Trailer(s) - including 'trombone' and 'rear-steer' units
  • LGVs and Panel Vans
  • Passenger vehicles and Pick-up Trucks
