About the Role
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer 50/50 to join our well-established team at our new site in Market Deeping in 2025. The primary focus of the role is to work closely with the production team to minimise machinery downtime and ensure preventative maintenance is carried out effectively to avoid disruption. You will collaborate with the wider engineering team to improve plant productivity, ensure availability of spare parts and materials, and investigate root causes of breakdowns and machinery speed losses. You will be responsible for accurately recording repairs to help identify and prevent recurring faults.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns
- Fault find on electrical and mechanical systems
- Identify and implement plant productivity improvements
- Ensure spare parts and materials are available when required
- Record maintenance activities and fault analysis
- Support production teams to minimise downtime
Candidate Requirements
Electrical (Essential)
- Fault finding on single and three-phase systems
- Experience with servo motors, AC motors, sensors, and control systems
- Basic electrical installations (lighting and small power)
- PLC knowledge desirable
Mechanical (Essential)
- Experience with drive trains, rollers, gearboxes, shafts
- Pneumatics and basic hydraulics knowledge
- Ability to strip machinery to component level and rebuild
Additional Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 (preferred) or time-served experience
- Proven maintenance engineering background
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Strong communication and organisational skills
