Our client delivers a diverse range of high‑quality automotive services, supported by state‑of‑the‑art workshops and expert technicians trained to meet a variety of manufacturer standards. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join their team in Corby.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine assigned vehicles to determine if safety or service work is required.
  • Perform all levels of vehicle diagnosis and repair.
  • Diagnose mechanical and, when required, electrical faults.
  • Perform road and ramp testing and inspections as required.
  • Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Review job cards/estimates and accurately record repair time.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and all company procedures are followed.
  • Plan and organise workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency.
  • Assist and support the training of new staff members.

Requirements

  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) – essential
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Flexibility to work overtime on a weekend rota
  • Full valid UK driving licence held for at least 2 years
  • Professional, punctual, and courteous conduct at all times
  • Positive attitude and strong team ethos
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in unexpected situations
