Our client is looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee a team of three PSV Technicians and support day-to-day engineering operations. This hands-on role ensures fleet reliability, compliance, and a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the fleet
- Allocate planned/unplanned work and manage daily staffing
- Carry out vehicle preparation and body repairs (cars, PCV, PSV)
- Maintain workshop equipment and facilities
- Support stock control and warranty processes
- Keep accurate engineering and performance records
- Lead, develop, and motivate the engineering team
- Manage breakdowns, vehicle allocation, and service performance
- Promote strong Health & Safety culture
Requirements:
- Level 3 HGV City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent)
- PCV or PSV licence
- Strong engineering background
- Leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of H&S, employment, and environmental legislation
- Good IT and organisational skills
- Additional engineering/safety/environmental qualifications
