Our client is seeking skilled Mechanical Engineers to join their engineering team in Ipswich. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and ready for service. Key Duties:
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
- Accurately identify issues and determine appropriate repair methods
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections
- Use diagnostic equipment and handheld devices where required
- Attend roadside breakdowns and assist with vehicle recovery
About You:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Experience with HGV, PSV, or similar vehicles preferred
- Candidates from other engineering sectors or ex-Forces backgrounds considered
- Full UK driving licence required
- PCV licence desirable (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Flexible approach to shift work
