Night Shift Technician
Location: Heathrow Bus and Truck Company in Staines
Hourly rate: £19.00 – £21.50 per hour, DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week – 20:00 to 06:00 am
Your Role
At our client’s site, we are looking for a Night Shift Technician who will be a team player and ensure our customers’ vehicles remain on the road through quality, safe, and compliant maintenance.
Qualifications
Level 3 (NVQ or City & Guilds or IMI Qualification) in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance. Ability to identify worn and faulty components in accordance with DVSA Standards. Current, full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle classes.
Responsibilities
- Perform major and minor repairs on bus and truck vehicles.
- Conduct regular inspections and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes.
- Maintain workshop inventory and cleanliness, preventing oil spills and dust.
- Collaborate with repair teams to diagnose and plan vehicle repairs.
- Keep records of repaired or handled vehicles.
- Provide on‑road repair services to clients in case of emergencies.
- Complete relevant documentation and paperwork, including warranty claims or escalation to higher management.
- Deliver in‑house training to recruits and trainees.
