Our client is seeking an EXPERIENCED PSV/HGV mechanic based in York. The role is full‑time (minimum 40 hours per week). Working hours may be flexible to suit the needs of the individual. Our client is York's largest independent family bus and coach operator with an unrivalled reputation for engineering excellence. We hold DVSA Earned Recognition accreditation and our vehicles are presented and maintained to the very highest standards in the industry. Based in a modern, well‑equipped workshop in York, the successful applicant will be an experienced commercial vehicle technician with a proven track record of maintaining and repairing vehicles to DVSA MOT standards.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of heavy vehicle maintenance including fault finding and rectification.
- Perform planned maintenance inspections and produce accurate reports on vehicle condition.
- Work consistently and safely to a high standard of Health & Safety.
- Adapt to a variety of tasks in the day‑to‑day operations of a busy workshop environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in PSV vehicle maintenance.
- Team player, willing to work alongside a successful team.
- Good attention to detail, aiming to work to the very highest standards.
- Flexible and able to adapt to a variety of tasks.
- Ability to work consistently and safely to a high standard of Health & Safety.
- PSV driving licence (advantage).
- Experience with PSV vehicles (advantage).
