Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of their Quality Management System (QMS) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes. This role works closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and service teams to maintain high product and service quality across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve QMS documentation in line with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
- Support PLM processes including change management, BOM control, and document updates.
- Manage document control, SOPs, work instructions, and quality records.
- Define inspection criteria, test plans, and acceptance standards across product lifecycles.
- Conduct audits, process walk-throughs, and quality checks to ensure compliance.
- Analyse quality data (defect rates, yield, RMAs) and build performance dashboards.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive effective CAPAs.
- Support internal and certification audits, including preparation of evidence.
- Work with suppliers on quality reviews, onboarding, and performance monitoring.
- Provide training, job aids, and guidance on quality procedures and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial, or related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in quality engineering, process quality, or operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, audits, CAPA, and quality documentation.
- Proficiency in QMS/PLM/ERP systems (e.g., Propel, Arena, D365).
- Strong analytical skills; experience with Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
- Experience in global or multi‑site environments is an advantage.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office‑based role using standard workplace technology.
- Approx. 75% desk‑based with occasional movement around the office.
- Ability to move equipment up to 25lbs when required.
