Overview
Field Service Engineer (cradle engineers) in London. Salary 40k to 45k plus overtime. Van or travel paid, regular weekend overtime at 1.5x or 2x on Sundays. Monday to Friday work with pension and all train and tube tickets paid, plus bonus.
Responsibilities
- Cover the central London area with field maintenance and service for clients’ products.
- Perform maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs on BMUs (mechanical arm hoists that lower window cleaners' buckets on the outside of buildings).
- Fault finding, refurbishments and repairs to mechanical arms and related systems; electrical engineering tasks as required.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing of machinery and products.
- Provide technical support and service for products in the field around London buildings; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Travel with tools; use tube travel where required; all tube tickets paid by the company in advance.
- Liaise with other departments within the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Working at height, in all weather conditions during maintenance/service and breakdown work.
Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in engineering (required).
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer.
- Hydraulic and electrical or mechanical bias considered.
- Good knowledge of cradle mechanical arms on top of buildings; electrical engineering refurbishments; fault finding; repairs to mechanical arms and mechanical arm hoists.
Location & Benefits
London-based role with van/travel allowance, paid travel tickets, overtime opportunities, pension, and bonus structure. All tube/train tickets paid by the company in advance.
