A well-established precision engineering manufacturer is looking for an experienced Sliding Head CNC Turning specialist to join its expanding production team in Rugby. You will be working in a modern machining environment, producing high-precision components across a diverse range of industries and materials.

The Role

  • Taking ownership of the full programming, setting and operating cycle on Sliding Head Turning Centres, supporting both new product introduction and ongoing production.
  • Program and edit CNC programs using Fanuc controls.
  • Set and operate Sliding Head Turning machines safely and efficiently.
  • Produce first-off components to engineering drawings and quality standards.
  • Manage tooling wear, offsets and tool life throughout production runs.
  • Carry out in-process inspection using a range of measurement equipment.
  • Accurately record production, setting and scrap data within production systems.
  • Support continuous improvement, TPM and routine machine maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and well-run working environment.

You will bring a solid background in Sliding Head CNC Turning, ideally with hands-on experience of Star machines and Fanuc.
