About the Job
- Repair, maintain and service all HGV equipment along with other plant as required
- Ensure you work in compliance with Health and Safety policies
- Carry out routine, servicing and MOT preparation
- Carry out all repairs in a cost-effective manner
- Completion of all documentation as required and ensure accurate records are kept
- Record and report damages and defects
- Ensure inspections are carried out in specified time periods
General Company
- Work involves interpreting drawings or specifications, planning work activity, producing individual components, and refurbishing components.
- Personal and team adherence to existing working practices, methods and procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and respond positively to new and alternative systems
- Proactive approach to Health Safety and Environment and to co-operate with the Company’s HSEQ Manager with relevant Health, Safety and Environment legislation, policies, and processes.
Requirements
- Good knowledge and experience of HGVs and associated accessories
- NVQ qualified preferred but not essential
- IRTEC certification essential
- Deep understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and the ability to use a range of hand and power tools
- Knowledge of Safe Loading Working Devices
- HGV licence preferred but not essential
- Able to service, diagnose and repair various types of specialist equipment
