Rocket Staffing is currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Delivery Drivers to join a leading automotive business based in Thurleigh. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable, professional, and motivated individuals seeking long-term employment with consistent hours and excellent overtime opportunities.
Pay & Benefits
- Standard Rate: £14.84 per hour (Enhanced overtime rates payable after 12 weeks)
- Overtime Rate: £22.26 per hour (after 40 hours worked)
- Sunday Rate: £29.68 per hour
Working Hours
- Start Time: 15:00 - 23:30
- Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Safely move and manoeuvre vehicles throughout the site.
- Use handheld device (HHD) scanners to track, locate, and manage vehicle movements (full training provided).
- Carry out basic vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues to the Line Manager.
- Ensure all vehicles are parked and stored in line with customer requirements and site procedures.
- Conduct vehicle damage checks before movement and report any findings promptly.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety for yourself and colleagues.
- Drive responsibly at all times and adhere to all site speed limits and regulations.
- Support wider yard operations and undertake additional duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Minimum of 2 years' driving experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Desirable Qualifications
- First Aid certification
- Fire Marshal certification
- Previous experience within vehicle logistics, automotive, or yard operations
