We are seeking an experienced Utility Surveyor to join a growing surveying business operating across the Midlands and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver PAS 128 utility surveys to a high professional standard.
  • Undertake underground utility detection using electromagnetic locating (EML) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) equipment.
  • Interpret and correlate utility records, site evidence and survey data.
  • Capture accurate survey information, field notes and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with site safety procedures, RAMS and risk assessments.
  • Represent the company professionally when dealing with clients, contractors and the public.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience completing utility surveys independently.
  • Strong understanding of PAS 128 standards and utility detection techniques.
  • Experience using EML equipment, transmitters and GPR systems.
  • Ability to interpret utility records and assess survey reliability.
  • Experience using GNSS and/or total station survey equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable Requirements

  • Utility mapping or surveying qualification.
  • CSCS, EUSR and/or NRSWA accreditation.
  • Experience with CAD or utility survey processing software.
  • Topographical survey experience.
  • Previous experience working on highways, construction sites or complex utility environments.
  • Leadership experience and ability to support junior surveyors.
