Hydraulic System Designer Location : Southam Warwickshire Salary 38k to 45k Benefits: Company pension-32 days annual leave -site parking- pay Sick pay Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm on Fridays finish early8am to 3.30pm Role Purpose We are currently looking for a Hydraulic System Designer will be responsible for producing detailed hydraulic schematics and designing bespoke hydraulic tank assemblies. The role requires strong CAD skills in SolidWorks and hydraulic circuit design experience using Paro software. Ideally you must have a sound understanding of hydraulic principles, component selection, and system integration, with a minimum of 2 years of practical design experience. Key Technical Responsibilities Develop and produce hydraulic schematics for complex fluid power systems using Paro. Design hydraulic reservoir/tank assemblies in SolidWorks, including structural, fabrication, and integration details. Select hydraulic components (valves, pumps, cylinders, filters, accumulators, etc.) to meet system specifications. Create and manage detailed 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials. Ensure designs comply with ISO/EN hydraulic standards and project-specific requirements. Perform design checks for pressure ratings, flow paths, cooling, and contamination control. Support prototype builds and testing, providing design adjustments where required. Work closely with electrical/control engineers to integrate hydraulics with control systems. Liaise with customers to establish their requirements while continuing to build long term relationships. Maintain design data, version control, and project documentation including all BOM`s , quotations while supporting the production team with the correct build data are parts list. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in hydraulic system design. Proficient in SolidWorks (3D modelling, assemblies, and technical drawings). Proficient in Paro or equivalent hydraulic design software. Strong understanding of hydraulic circuits, power units, and reservoir design principles. Desirable Experience in mobile/off-highway or industrial hydraulic applications. Knowledge of CFD (computational Fluid Dynamics) or FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for tank and component design validation. Understanding of noise reduction, thermal management, and contamination control in hydraulic systems. Experience with project-based engineering and multi-disciplinary design teams , project managing each job along side the sales and production.
