Job Title: Skilled Welder & General Fabricator
Location: Towcester (Workshop-based with occasional site work)
Salary: £16.50-18.50 per hour
Job Overview
We are a small, family-owned business with exciting opportunities for growth, and we are looking for an experienced, skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This is a varied role that involves working independently in our main workshop and occasionally out onsite to install fabricated work.
As part of our team, youll contribute to the manufacturing of architectural metalwork such as bespoke staircases, handrails, balustrades as well as structural steelwork, general fabrication, as well as fitting and installing finished goods on-site.
Pay & Benefits
Starting pay: £16.50 – 18.50 per hour
Work pension (5% Employee Contribution / 5% Employer contribution)

40 hours per week (8-hour shifts)
Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM ( 2 x 30 min breaks)
Responsibilities & Duties
Use MIG & TIG welding processes to company standards.
Ability to work interpret technical drawings & work independently as well as collaboratively
Execute variety of Fabrication processes in a workshop environment.
Operate cutting, drilling, rolling, hand grinding machinery, and other power tools.
Delivery of goods and materials to site locations.
Conduct sitework to install finished goods to a high standard.
Maintain a clean and organised workshop.
Follow and assist with implementation of Health & Safety regulations & safe working practices
Assist with other tasks as needed and contribute to continuous improvement
Qualifications & Attributes
5 + years of welding and fabrication experience.
Coded welder certification in MIG welding (to be completed on the job).
TIG welding desirable
Full UK drivers license
Good numerical ability and attention to detail
Physically fit and able to work independently
Forklift/other tickets and site experience desirable
Punctual, self-motivated, and solution-oriented
Positive and enthusiastic attitude toward contributing to a growing business
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
