This is not your standard school administrator role.
At Rocket, we do things with imagination, ambition and personality. Our pre-preps are full of life, and our Office Gurus sit at the heart of them.
You’ll be the welcoming face of your setting, building relationships with families, keeping the operation running smoothly and bringing the Rocket brand to life. From showing a prospective parent around to keeping the finances in order or organising a brilliant event, you’ll take pride in making things happen.
We’re looking for someone brilliant with people, sharp on the details and full of initiative.

- Speak confidently about Rocket, helping parents understand our approach and what makes us different.
- Keep admissions records accurate and follow up enquiries with care and enthusiasm.
Finance & Administration

- Keep our tone of voice and visual identity confident, playful and recognisable.
- Contribute fresh ideas that make everyday interactions and special occasions feel memorable.

Events
- Help imagine, organise and deliver the events that bring our community together.
- Get involved in everything from Halloween and Christmas celebrations to parent evenings and creative collaborations.
- Coordinate the practical details, suppliers and communications that make an event come together.
- Bring ideas, energy and a thoughtful finishing touch.
School Operations
- Keep the day-to-day running of the setting organised and responsive.
- Coordinate diaries, appointments, deliveries, supplies and external contacts.
- Keep the office and welcome area inviting, considered and ready for the day.
- Anticipate what’s needed and take ownership of getting it done.

- Work closely with the Head, helping them stay organised and informed.
- Be a reliable point of contact between families, colleagues and the wider Rocket team.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgement.
- Stay calm when plans change and help find practical solutions.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You might currently work front of house at a members’ club or luxury hotel, lead a team for a distinctive brand, or create memorable experiences in hospitality, retail or events. You know how to represent a brand, build relationships and make every detail count. No education experience is required.
You’ll bring:
- A natural way with people. You’re warm, engaging and confident, and know how to make someone feel welcome.
- A feel for brands. You understand how personality comes through in words, visuals, atmosphere and service.
- Organisation and follow-through. You can juggle competing priorities and keep the details in hand.
- A creative eye. You bring fresh ideas and enjoy turning them into something people notice and remember.
- Strong communication. You write with warmth and personality and speak confidently with families, colleagues and visitors.
- Confidence with numbers and systems. You’re comfortable with financial administration, Microsoft Office and learning new tools.
- Confidence using Canva. You can create materials that feel considered and distinctly Rocket.
- Initiative and ownership. You notice what needs doing and see it through.
- Discretion and sound judgement. You handle sensitive situations thoughtfully and know when to involve the right colleague.
WHY ROCKET?
You’ll join a creative, ambitious team that cares deeply about children, families and the experiences we create.
There’s room to contribute ideas, take ownership and make your mark. You’ll play a meaningful part in the life of your setting, with variety, responsibility and plenty of opportunities to get involved.
