Rocket Padel is a growing business. Since 2018 we have been on a mission to create the most fun, open, and social exercise community for everyone. We have established and operated more than 100 courts in Scandinavia, and in 2023 we successfully opened our first venue in Bristol. In 2024 we continued our growth by opening London's largest indoor club in Ilford, as well as a premium 4 court facility at Battersea Power Station. We are a professional, social, and fun team, and our goal is to create high quality venues where playing sports and fitness are enjoyable and accessible to all. Rocket Padel Bristol hosts 14 indoor courts, café, lounge, extensive warm-up area, shop, premium changing facilities and conference room. Rocket Padel has exciting expansion plans and we’re already seeking further opportunities with sites across the UK.

As a duty manager you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and should be able to multi-task and adapt to deliver a high level of customer service plus quality and accuracy in all work tasks. The Duty Manager should demonstrate enthusiasm for the project and high-level communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues and take initiative towards the growth of Rocket Padel’s community. The ability to work as part of a high-performing team as well as using your own initiative to solve problems will be a key component towards your success at Rocket Padel. As part of the role, you will be trained to work in all areas of the business including the café, shop, facility maintenance and meet and greet customers, while of course joining in the fun of playing Padel! Your duties can be as varied as hosting events, serving in the café/bar, selling club activities, coaching and corporate events. You will also be required to lead and manage a small team on a shift-to-shift basis. As a young and growing company, Rocket Padel offers plenty of opportunities for further career growth and development within the company.
What You Need to Embark:
The Duty Manager is an incredibly important position at every Rocket Padel Club. We are looking for a social person with the ability to work well under pressure. We believe the right person has the following qualifications:
- Works well with others and is always willing to learn.
- A true passion for sports, racket sports, health industry, fitness and wellbeing.
- Social media savvy.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- Experience in a supervisory role, able to lead a high performing team.
- Work closely with the club manager to handle and take responsibility over staff rotas, daily admin tasks and deliver the highest possible level of customer service.
About the Role:
Job Types: Full Time
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000
Job requirements: 8-9 hour shift (3.00pm - 11.15pm)
Evening and weekend availability (Required)
Bristol, BS4 4EB: Local proximity strongly preferable (required)
Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
