Job Description
Rocket Staffing are currently recruiting experienced HGV Technicians to join a busy HGV Technician team in the Liverpool area. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and motivated individuals looking for long-term work with consistent hours.
Role and Details
- Position: HGV Technician (Days)
- Salary: 51k to 55k basic
- Shifts: 4 on 4 off dayshifts
- Overtime: Time and a half
- Shift Timings: 6am to 6pm

Responsibilities
- Performing major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers, and other vehicles in the company fleet.
- Performing regular inspections and general preventive maintenance services such as tyre rotation and oil changes.
- Maintaining inventory in the workshop and cleanliness from oil spills and dust. It is not just limited to the workshop.
- Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for vehicles.
- Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired or handled.
- Providing repair services to clients on the road in case of emergencies.
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
- Previous workshop experience preferred
- Valid UK driving licence; an HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is highly desirable
- Knowledge of DVSA inspection standards and VOSA procedures
