The Role
We are looking for a hands‑on Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer with proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
This role is primarily focused on reactive mechanical maintenance, with an element of planned preventative electrical maintenance (PPM). 50/50.
You will support approximately 30 production machines, including extruders, printers, and converters, ensuring maximum uptime and production efficiency.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and will become an integral part of the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Provide technical support for machinery breakdowns, installations, and improvement projects.
• Assist with general building services maintenance, including
- Emergency lighting testing
- Fire alarm testing
- Air Handling Unit (AHU) PPMs
- Lamp replacements
- Basic plumbing tasks
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure the plant operates safely and efficiently.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical maintenance experience with electrical knowledge.
Relevant electrical qualifications or certification are desirable.
Ability to fault‑find on electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical mechanical and electrical drawings.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced production environment.
