We are looking for experienced Bench-hand joiners to join our growing team. Rocket Worldwide is a creative joinery and manufacturing business based in Yoker, Glasgow. We specialise in the design and manufacture of exhibition stands/bespoke joinery as well as offering clients brands marketing and event management services.

Based at our workshop in Yoker, you will come from a strong bench-hand background with experience of solid woods, veneer woods, MDF and laminating. Working alone and as part of a team taking instructions from our Head of Production, you will manufacture exhibition stands, shop-fitting, bar/gantries, wall panelling, and all other joinery products. On some occasions, you will be required to attend installations and assist the team in a multi-trade capacity working within the UK, Europe and across the world.

Duties include:

  • Work on your own initiative with a can-do attitude.
  • Manufacturing high-end products such as panelling, reception desks, bars/gantries, furniture, and museum products.
  • Creating cutting lists and using woodworking machinery.
  • Overtime – Late nights and weekends as and when required.

What Skills and Experience do we need?

  • 3 - 5 years bench-hand experience required.
  • City and Guilds or SVQ3 joinery advantageous.
  • Knowledge of using hand tools & power tools.
  • Experience of laminating is a must.
  • Exhibition experience & spray finishing knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Desirable to have a First Aid qualification, though training will be offered.
  • Desirable to have a Forklift licence, though training and certification will be offered.
