Rockdale Village in Sevenoaks provides excellent care for our independent senior living residents and the residents in our 50-bed care home. Set in beautiful surroundings and located in the centre of Sevenoaks, it is highly regarded by the community. Rockdale has recently been through an exciting period of change, growing our services to respond to the needs of our customers. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Head of Property and Health & Safety to join our great team.

Our Head of Property and Health & Safety will have responsibility for all aspects of managing and maintaining the Association’s built environment and infrastructure, across our rented and leasehold independent living apartments, our care home and our communal facilities and offices. You will join Rockdale at an exciting time in its history as we embark upon a series of major building projects to both increase and upgrade our stock to ensure that our homes remain desirable, fit for purpose and sustainable for future generations. You will co‑ordinate all aspects of Health & Safety for the Association and be responsible for the provision of a high quality, responsive housing service that delivers and focuses on positive resident outcomes and satisfaction.

For this role, successful candidates will have:

  • A housing management qualification (Level 4 desirable or prepared to work towards)
  • A Health & Safety qualification (NBOSH or prepared to work towards)
  • Well‑developed knowledge of the legislation relating to social housing
  • Excellent budget management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to use own initiative, solve problems and develop staff

Rockdale Village has a unique offering, and we pride ourselves on the Support and Care we provide to our Independent Living residents. To this end, our Support, Domiciliary Care and Home Help Teams report to the Manager, Rockdale Cares. As we provide a range of resident services and are in regular contact with each resident, any resident related housing management issues are dealt with by the Manager, Rockdale Cares, and their team.

Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay: £67,500.00 per year
