Rockbourne is delighted to be working with a highly capitalised UK residential investment platform, backed by long-term institutional capital, to appoint an outstanding individual to their London-based team. Our client is one of the most active and dynamic investors in UK operational residential real estate, with a rapidly scaling portfolio across single-family rental and other living sectors.
Following a recent transformational acquisition, the business is entering a new phase of growth, with substantial capital remaining to deploy and clear ambitions to materially expand its UK footprint over the coming decade.
The Why?Track Record: The platform already manages a large-scale UK residential portfolio, comprising several thousand homes, with a proven ability to acquire, structure, and operate institutional-quality living assets. With significant equity still to deploy, the business continues to be highly active across funding agreements and residential investments nationwide.

Individuals are trusted to lead transactions end-to-end and collaborate closely across investment, asset management, finance, and operations.
Autonomy: This role offers full ownership of the investment process from day one. The successful candidate will be fully self-sufficient in originating opportunities, underwriting transactions, structuring investments, and driving deals through to completion.

What do you need to bring to the table?- 8–12 years’ experience in UK operational real estate investment and/or development
- A strong, demonstrable track record of originating and executing UK residential transactions
- Proven experience across Build-to-Rent, Single-Family, and/or Student Living sectors
- Hands-on experience structuring forward funding and forward commitment deals
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability - able to build models from scratch and interrogate assumptions
- Deep understanding of UK residential investment economics, risks, and operational considerations
- Confidence to operate independently while collaborating closely with internal teams
- A proactive, commercial mindset with strong deal instinct
- Thrives in a flat, entrepreneurial, high-accountability environment
- Originate, underwrite, structure, and execute residential investments and funding agreements across the UK
- Originate and execute residential investments and funding agreements with national housebuilders
- Take full ownership of deals from initial sourcing through to completion
- Build and interrogate detailed financial models; test sensitivities and challenge assumptions
- Lead internal approval processes and manage transaction execution
- Work closely with investment, asset management, finance, and operations teams to deliver transactions efficiently
- Maintain strong market awareness across UK residential values, yields, and rental fundamentals
Salary: c.£100,000 - £135,000 (DOE)
Bonus: c.35% of base, with upside linked to performance and deployment success
