Looking to start a career in sales? At Rockborne, we're building the next generation of Data & AI talent. We partner with some of the UK's leading organisations, helping them solve complex data challenges through specialist consulting, training, and talent solutions.

We're now growing our commercial team and are looking for ambitious individuals to join us as Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). No previous sales experience is required. We're looking for people with energy, curiosity, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in building a career in sales.

The Opportunity

As an SDR, you'll be responsible for generating opportunities for our commercial team by identifying and engaging organisations that could benefit from Rockborne's services. This isn't a traditional high-volume cold calling role. You'll learn how to research markets, identify target organisations, understand industry challenges, and build thoughtful outreach campaigns that generate meaningful conversations with senior decision makers. You'll work closely with our Growth Director, CEO, Senior SDR, and SDR Manager, receiving hands-on coaching and training as you develop your sales skills.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Researching industries, companies, and senior stakeholders to identify new business opportunities
  • Building targeted outreach campaigns focused on specific sectors and business challenges
  • Engaging prospective clients through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Generating qualified meetings for the wider commercial team
  • Learning about the Data & AI market and developing expertise in how organisations build data capabilities
  • Maintaining accurate records and activity within our CRM system
  • Contributing ideas and insights to improve outreach campaigns and sales strategy
  • Working towards individual and team targets in a collaborative sales environment

Who We're Looking For

We're more interested in potential than experience. You could be a graduate, someone working in hospitality or retail, or simply someone looking to start a career in sales. We're looking for people who are:

  • Highly motivated and eager to learn
  • Confident communicators
  • Competitive and goal-oriented
  • Organised and proactive
  • Comfortable speaking with new people
  • Interested in sales, business development, and relationship building
  • Excited by long-term career progression

Previous sales experience is not required.

Career Progression

This role is designed for people who want to build a long-term career in sales. You'll receive training, mentoring, and coaching from experienced commercial leaders, with clear opportunities to progress into more senior sales and account management roles as you develop.

What We Offer

  • Commission structure on top of salary
  • Structured training and development
  • Direct exposure to senior commercial leaders
  • Employee Assistance Programme
