At Rockborne, we specialise in developing the next generation of data professionals. We recruit bright, ambitious graduates and give them the technical, business, and interpersonal training they need to thrive in Data & Analytics. We also deliver bespoke training to our corporate clients, helping them upskill their teams in the tools and techniques shaping the industry.
We’re now looking for a Data Trainer (Associate Level) to join our growing training team. This is an ideal role for someone coming out of academia or a data role who’s passionate about teaching, coaching, and making complex concepts click.
What you’ll be doing
- You’ll design and deliver engaging, practical sessions that build confidence and competence in key data tools, including:
- Excel (analysis, pivot tables, formulas, charts)
- SQL (queries, joins, aggregations)
- Python (data manipulation, logic, best practices)
- Power BI / Tableau (data visualisation and dashboards)
- Data Modelling (relational and dimensional concepts)
- Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
What we’re looking for
- Passionate about helping others learn and confident presenting to adult learners.
- Curious and proactive, keen to pick up new technologies and techniques.
- Able to simplify complex ideas and communicate them clearly.
- Comfortable working independently and structuring their own day.
- Excited to contribute to a fun, inclusive, and high-trust team culture.
You’ll likely have:
- Experience in data analysis, engineering, or research using analytical tools.
- Strong familiarity with Excel, SQL, and Python.
- Some prior experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring - whether in academia, bootcamps, or workplace training (or if you’re coming from a commercial background, experience presenting your technical concepts to non-technical audiences).
- An understanding of cloud platforms or data pipelines (a bonus but not essential).
