At Rockborne, we're dedicated to helping organisations unlock the value of data. Through consulting, training, and talent solutions, we partner with businesses to build the data capabilities they need to succeed.

As our business continues to grow, we're investing heavily in our commercial function and are now looking for a Sales Development Manager to build and lead our SDR team. This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage, shape the outbound sales strategy, hire and develop a team, and play a key role in driving Rockborne's future growth.

We're looking for a hands-on sales leader who can combine strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. You'll help build the SDR function from the ground up, initially leading a team of three SDRs while remaining actively involved in generating opportunities yourself.

You'll work closely with our CEO, Growth Director, and wider commercial team to define how we approach outbound sales, identify new markets, develop targeted campaigns, and create a high-performing sales culture.

This role would suit someone who has progressed through an SDR environment themselves and is excited by the opportunity to build something rather than simply maintain it.

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of SDRs
  • Building onboarding, training, and development plans for new team members
  • Creating outbound sales strategies and targeted prospecting campaigns
  • Working closely with the Growth team to ensure high-quality pipeline generation
  • Monitoring performance metrics and driving continuous improvement across the team
  • Contributing to wider commercial strategy and growth planning
  • Building a high-energy, high-performance sales culture

We're looking for an experienced SDR leader who understands both the operational and strategic side of outbound sales.

  • SDR Manager
  • Sales Development Manager
  • Senior SDR with leadership responsibilities
  • Business Development Manager with experience leading prospecting teams

Success building outbound campaigns and prospecting strategies

  • Strong coaching and development skills
  • Experience working in a target-driven sales environment
  • The ability to balance quality and quantity when generating pipeline
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience within technology, software, consulting, or other B2B sales environments would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to Data, AI, Analytics, or other technical markets would be beneficial, but deep technical expertise is not required.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing commercial function. You'll work directly with senior leadership, have a significant influence on how the SDR team evolves, and play a key role in building the pipeline that drives the wider business.

  • Bonus scheme based on performance
  • Performance incentives linked to both personal and team success
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Significant opportunity to influence strategy and team development
  • The chance to build and lead a growing SDR function from the ground up
