Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging technology to drive business transformation? As a Technology Consultant at ROCK, you will play a pivotal role in guiding organisations through their digital evolution. This client-facing position is integral to expanding our consulting services and ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions that align with our client's objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Advise senior stakeholders on how to use technology to improve business operations and drive digital transformation.
  • Conduct assessments of client IT environments, identifying challenges, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and articulate technology roadmaps, aligning IT initiatives with business goals.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations, ensuring clients receive clear, actionable advice tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, identifying upsell opportunities and supporting business growth.

Technology Delivery & Implementation:

  • Support and lead the delivery of technology solutions, including cloud migrations, IT infrastructure improvements, and business applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including account management, the support desk and the delivery team to execute projects successfully.
  • Oversee the execution of IT transformation projects, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Train and support teams on new technology solutions, ensuring successful adoption.
  • Monitor project performance, ensuring all solutions meet technical and business requirements.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks, including security threats, data risks, and compliance challenges.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards, security protocols, and best practices.

What you need to succeed:

  • 3+ years of experience in technology consulting, project delivery, or IT operations (minimum 2nd/3rd line level).
  • Strong technical background, with experience advising on IT solutions, cloud platforms, and business technology strategies.
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders, understanding business objectives and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Experience managing technology transformation projects, incorporating people, processes, and technology.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of IT infrastructures and technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge with Cloud Technology such as Microsoft 365, Azure and AWS.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write reports, create presentations, and deliver client workshops.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Exceptional client communication and documentation skills in English.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex workloads and multiple priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic project environments.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the project implementation process.

Your Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - What success looks like:

  • Achieve or exceed your assigned monthly consulting sales target through both new business opportunities and the expansion of existing client engagements.
  • Deliver all assigned consulting engagements and projects to a high standard, consistently contributing to the team’s delivery forecast.
  • Uphold delivery excellence by ensuring complaint levels remain aligned with ISO standards, with no more than one complaint per nine engagements or projects where you are a named contributor.
  • Maintain full responsibility for financial outcomes by ensuring no financial losses occur on any engagements or projects where you are a named contributor.
  • Demonstrate complete ownership of every project and engagement, with thorough and accurate documentation maintained throughout and all records updated within one business day of completion.
  • Complete accurate weekly timesheets, ensuring a minimum of 40 hours is logged each week to reflect your delivery and consulting contributions.
  • Maintain a strong delivery reputation by ensuring at least 90% of client feedback from completed projects or engagements is positive, based on responses received where you are a named contributor.
