About the role: Are you a detail-oriented and driven professional with a passion for leading technology projects to successful outcomes? As a Project Manager at ROCK, you will oversee the delivery of IT services and solutions for our clients — coordinating technical teams, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with business objectives. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal technical teams to ensure smooth delivery from planning through to implementation. This role demands excellent communication, structured project management, and a strong technical understanding to turn client requirements into successful, on-time project deliveries.

What you'll be doing:

  • Project Planning & Delivery
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between technical requirements, business goals, and client expectations.
  • Oversee project execution to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage risks, proactively address issues, and take corrective actions to ensure project success.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
  • Client Liaison and Communication
    • Act as a consistent point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Communicate project status, progress, risks, and issues clearly to both clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and trust throughout delivery.
  • Team Coordination and Resource Management
    • Coordinate technical and project resources, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
    • Ensure team members have the necessary tools, skills, and information to complete their work effectively.
    • Support collaboration between departments to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
  • Quality, Risk, and Change Management
    • Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and client expectations.
    • Work with technical teams to define quality criteria, perform checks, and implement corrective actions.
    • Manage changes to project scope, objectives, and timelines, assessing impact and recommending actions for approval.
    • Identify and mitigate delivery risks to maintain project stability and client confidence.
  • Financial and Performance Management
    • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and forecasting costs accurately.
    • Ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints while maintaining high quality.
    • Support financial and performance reporting for senior management, including progress updates and risk summaries.

    Experience required:

    • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in IT, consulting, or managed services.
    • Proven experience managing small to medium-scale technical projects from initiation to completion.
    • Leading client-facing project delivery and stakeholder management.
    • Strong understanding of project management principles such as PRINCE2, Agile, or similar frameworks.
    • Proficient in project governance including planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation.
    • Strong technical knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
    • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
    • Effective communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
    • Financial and budgeting awareness, with the ability to forecast and track spend accurately.
    • Exposure to cloud migration & modernisation projects advantageous.
