We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing team, working across the Midlands. The role involves attending care homes and apartment blocks, carrying out breakdowns, fault finding, and repairs within boiler rooms and plant rooms. This is a field-based role suited to a proactive engineer with strong diagnostic skills and experience in commercial heating systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs
  • Diagnose and repair faults on commercial gas boilers and plant equipment
  • Work within boiler rooms and plant rooms in care homes and residential apartment blocks
  • Carry out safe isolation, testing, and recommissioning of gas appliances
  • Complete job reports and documentation accurately
  • Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safe and health & safety regulations
  • Liaise professionally with site managers, caretakers, and residents where required

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
  • Strong fault-finding and breakdown experience
  • Experience working in boiler rooms and plant rooms
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Good customer-facing and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Valid Gas Safe Registration
  • Commercial Gas ACS qualifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
