Rock Solid Processing Ltd are market leaders in the recovery and recycling of metals and aggregates produced from Waste to Energy Plant Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) throughout Europe.
As the Assistant Site Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Site Manager with all aspects of the day-to-day running and operational activities at the facility. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will ensure that all areas of site operations run smoothly, including maintaining on-site compliance with all UK Planning, Health & Safety and Environmental regulations in partnership with the Rock Solid QHSE Dept, effective site upkeep and maintenance, site housekeeping, safe and compliant mobile plant operation, stockpile management, liaison with local contractors and/or site owners, and management and record keeping for all deliveries and exports via the site weighbridge.
Skills required:
- Display competent and proven man management and operational skills
- Health & Safety/Environmental/Waste background
- Ability to undertake daily site checks and record in site diary, work to strict safety guidelines, complete dynamic risk assessments, have an understanding of weighbridge operations and waste reporting
- Have previous Tracked (360) swing shovel experience and waste management experience
- Hold WAMITAB Level 4 Non Haz Waste Treatment and Transfer or similar preferred, or evidence working towards this qualification, waste stockpiling, keeping accurate and compliant records, receiving, and loading waste materials
- IOSH or COSHH qualification (Minimum of IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent)
- Full clean driving licence
- Computer literate (Inc. Word, Excel and preferably Powerpoint)

Location: Cowdenbeath
Salary: £37,500 – £40,000 based on experience
Hours: Full time, 48 hours per week plus provision of out of hours emergency site cover (Mon to Fri with occasional Saturdays with prior notice)
