Do you have great team leadership and communication skills, with a practical background and mechanical and technical mindset? As our Installation Team Leader, the successful candidate will manage a team who will be involved in the recycling of raw materials from Waste to Energy Plant Incinerator Bottom Ash and be on the ground managing our processing installations, machinery, transport and personnel.
We seek someone who has strong leadership and great communication skills, a practical background with a mechanical and technical mindset and a hands-on approach. This role would suit an individual who has worked in the construction, building, mining or recycling sector where they have been responsible for production/plant equipment and personnel.
Rock Solid Processing Ltd is part of the VHB group of companies and are experts in the recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from waste residues. We recover metals and pride ourselves with the most advanced machinery and mobile installations. With sites established in Scotland, we are expanding further in the Fife area and are looking for new talent to join our team.

Duties include:
- Being responsible for both the operational personnel and equipment in your team on a day to day basis
- Achieving set production targets, based on quality and tonnage requirements
- Ensuring a clean and safe working environment, adhering to required Health and Safety compliance
- Travel to main workplace and occasional travel to other work sites inc. overnight stays as required
- Planning scheduled processing campaigns for your installation and being responsible for both the associated operational personnel and equipment
- Communicating effectively with your internal and external customers
- Promoting a motivated team spirit together with the training and development of your team
- Ensuring compliance with daily/weekly/preventative maintenance requirements
- Organising transportation and logistics
- Administration duties

An induction programme and training is offered to the successful candidate, however a reasonable level of technical insight and previous hands on experience in the maintenance and use of large-scale mobile plant and crushing/screening equipment would be preferable. Our business involves Load Shovels, 360 Swing Shovels, Tracked Plant, Mobile Crushing and Screening machinery, Over-belt magnet systems, Eddy Current Separators (ECS), mobile generators, welding and conveyor belt systems. Experience in our environment is beneficial but most importantly man management, team skills and the ability to maintain a positive working culture.
