The predicted salary is between 58800 - 58800 £ per year.
Day Rate: £245 - for 2.5 jobs completed per day (e.g. 2x Dual & 1 Single Installation / transactional jobs). Bonus: + £35 for any jobs completed over 5 per day, - £35 for any jobs completed under 2.5 per day. Uncapped commission.
Introduction
- Full end to end installation of Electric & Gas smart meters, including commissioning and transactional work.
- Engineers will receive a minimum of 5 jobs per day, for example x2 dual installations and x1 single installation/transactional jobs.
- Engineers will have access to national help desks, using a tablet and phone to work through the commissioning process or diagnosing a fault. (MUST be confident using tech)
- Big focus on safety, regular visits from managers for HSE assessments and SAE visits.

- GDI – Gas dumb install
- IHD – Ppmid install or exchange
- ESR/EDR Electric removal
- GSR/GDR Gas removal
- De-energise/Re-energise – Isolator install or exchange
- ESX – Electrical smart exchange
- GSX – Gas smart exchange
- ESX- IHD exchange
- ESF – Electric smart fault smet1 or smet2
- GSF – Gas smart fault smet1 or smet2
- ESI – Electric smart install (isolator needs fitting)
- GSI – Gas smart install (cap meter, leave capped sign)
- Comms hub exchange – smet1 or smet2
- Electric smart commission
- Gas smart commission
Note: All highlighted class as transactional work.
Requirements
- Dual fuel Smart Metering experience (minimum 2 years)
- CCN1 or CMA1 & MET1 Qualification
- MOCOPA or Smart Metering qualification (preferred but not essential) – Covered at induction.
- Strong experience using apps/phones/PDA’s
- Own Gas Safe Registration
- Awareness of safety PPE stage 1 and 2, safe isolation and dead tests.
- And all other standard compliance as per the checklist.
