Gas Installation Engineer – Domestic/Private Housing (Price Work)

Location: South of England (Taunton to Canterbury)

Pay: £375+ per swap/install (price work)

Contract Type: Self-Employed / Contract

Rock Recruitment is working with our client, a market-leading provider of heating and compliance services across the UK. Our client is one of the UK’s largest and most successful gas contractors, offering long-term work, consistent volume, and genuine career security for the right engineers.

The Role: You’ll manage the day-to-day delivery of assigned installations, completing works to specification, client criteria, and all governing body regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete installations to the specification of the survey and client criteria, in line with all governing body regulations
  • Report any issues preventing completion to your installation supervisor
  • Complete all contract-specific paperwork at the time of installation and obtain all necessary signatures
  • Carry out duties professionally and courteously, respecting customers' property and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
  • Attend any recalls at the request of your installation supervisor
  • Complete assigned installations within the set timeframe
  • Complete all paperwork, including timesheets and H&S monitoring forms
  • Ensure Health & Safety and Environmental procedures and standards are adhered to
  • Ensure all certification and documentation is completed accurately

Requirements:

  • Valid ACS and other relevant gas qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence (less than 6 points)
  • Experience within social/private housing desirable but not essential
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse customer base
  • Own calibrated flue gas analyser, hand tools, and reliable van (for self-employed/sub-contract engineers)
