Location: Coventry, Warwickshire Pay Rate: £250+ Contract Type: Self-employed / Contract Qualifications: 18th Edition, AM2, 2391 (or equivalent) About the Opportunity Rock Recruitment is working with a well-established client to recruit skilled, self-employed domestic electricians to join their network of contract engineers. Their customers rely on them for safe, high-quality electrical work exactly when they need it, and you'll play a key part in delivering fast fixes and high standards of electrical safety in customers' homes. The Role As a contract Electrician, you'll carry out a varied mix of domestic work, including: * Fault finding and repairs * Installations and upgrades, such as replacing kitchen sockets * Electrical connections to gas appliances and points * Full and partial rewires * Emergency 24- or 48-hour callouts * Scheduled works * EICR testing and EV charger installation, where relevant to the job You'll combine strong technical skills with excellent customer service, diagnosing issues efficiently, aiming for first-time fixes, and giving customers clear, professional advice. All work must be safe, compliant and right first time. What You'll Need to Provide * A fully equipped vehicle * Your own tools and test equipment * PPE * Appropriate insurance cover (e.g. public liability) About You * Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified electrician, ideally in domestic settings * City & Guilds 2365 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent), including the Level 3 Technical Certificate and NET AM2 * NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) * BS 7671 Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382, 18th Edition) * City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) for inspection and testing: highly desirable * Specialist EV charger certification: desirable * Flexibility to cover emergency callouts and scheduled work
