We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heating Engineer to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing heating systems across domestic and social housing properties. This role involves working with a variety of fuel types, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair heating systems across multiple fuel types, including domestic gas, oil, and solid fuel.
  • Service boilers, fires, and associated appliances in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, particularly in reactive and breakdown situations.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including Gas Safe and OFTEC standards.
  • Issue safety certificates and maintain accurate service records using electronic and/or manual systems.
  • Manage stock levels effectively and coordinate with approved suppliers for replenishment.
  • Participate in an on-call rota, providing 24/7 emergency support across the property portfolio.

Minimum Essential Criteria

  • Relevant domestic gas qualifications: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, HWSS1, CMDDA1, WREG.
  • Proven experience in a service or maintenance engineering role, with a strong focus on breakdown response.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
