As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will work directly with the Orthodontist to deliver exceptional patient care. This role requires strong clinical skills, orthodontic knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced practice.
What You’ll Do- Assist the Orthodontist during exams and orthodontic treatments, ensuring patient comfort and efficient clinical flow
- Prepare and break down operatories, maintain sterilization standards, and support daily clinical operations
- Perform orthodontic procedures under direct supervision, including:
- Placing and removing archwires
- Changing elastics and coil springs
- Placing and removing bands and retainers
- Orthodontic assisting experience required
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) required, unless the candidate has several years of direct orthodontic assisting experience
- Strong familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented with excellent communication skills
