Role Overview:
- To efficiently and creatively manage and lead the day-to-day projects across all business areas through the application and careful design of project management tools to agreed best practices for each prescribed project.
- The Project Manager will be highly focussed on delivering to milestones and deadlines and consider Cost, Quality and Time through the delivery cycle.
- The Project manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering projects that achieve agreed objectives within defined timescales, budgets, and quality standards. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring projects deliver measurable business benefits.
Accountabilities:
Project Management:
- Assist in the preparing the project charter
- Assist in preparing the project scope and associated deliverables such as holding planning workshops, cost benefit analysis, developing work breakdown structures, peer reviews and the scope statement
- Assist in the design of the project planning phase including:
- Setting up the Project Environment
- Defining the Scope
- Developing the Project Schedule
- Developing Risk Plans
- Planning for Quality
- Organising Project Resources
- Develop Procurement Plans
- Develop Financial Plans
- Develop Project Support Plans
- Develop Project Management plans
- Deliver the execution phase of the Projects through:
- Obtaining resources
- Processing data
- Providing Team training
- Recognizing success
- Participating in Walk-throughs and reviews
- Carrying out Project Reviews
- Facilitating Continuous Improvement
- Review Progress against milestones and critical project delivery dates
- Managing Sub-contractors where applicable
Monitoring and Controlling Project Work through:

- Responsible for the Project Close Out phase:
- Assess Satisfaction
- Summarise project results and lessons learned
- Review and Recognise team performance
- Close out the project records
- Review and Reconcile financial performance
Communication:
- Communicates constructively and actively seeks information.
- Keeps Group Director of Operations up to date with current projects and compliance standard achieved and any gaps in operational delivery.
- Liaise with the Group Compliance and H&S Manager to ensure that all central records are updated as the post holder creates new SOPs and updates employee training and compliance records.
- Build good working relationships with both colleagues and clients
- Deliver high quality efficiency opportunities.
Safety:
- Ensure the method statements and risk assessments are prepared and compliant where required – determined by project size
- Wear protective items of clothing and use appropriate safety equipment when on site
- Always ensures own and colleagues’ safety

- Promote and communicate standards/information to colleagues and team members.
- Monitors and communicates standards/information to other staff within business
- Identify and escalate any hazards, near misses in line with the Company’s reporting procedures
Skills and experience required:
- The successful Project Manager will demonstrate strong project planning and delivery expertise, stakeholder management, communication, financial awareness, risk management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
- They will be highly organised, commercially aware, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on cost, quality, and time.
