Job Purpose

Identify potential new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing clients, identifying any value added opportunities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Account Management
  • Responsibility for clients, including profitability, delivery, compliance and retention
  • Negotiation of at least 40% gross profit on all contracts, ensuring continuing profitability and deliverance of individual budgets on contracts
  • Production of contract brief
  • Assist with the mobilisation of contracts
  • Complaints handling
  • Work with operations to meet customer needs
  • Carry out internal audits to ensure contracts are being operated in accordance with client requirements.
  • Conduct LCA reviews/initial report
  • Production of job costing and quotation to clients as required
  • ORT and legionella training
  • Cash flow/debt management (including WIP)
  • Review of the distribution of resources available to ensure service is efficient
  • Business Development
  • Providing Quotations to new clients
  • Production of Contract Brief and mobilisation plan for new contracts
  • Timely contract renewal
  • Identification of sales opportunities with existing clients
  • Presentation of new products and services to new and existing clients
  • Training for clients
  • Produce and maintain client database with new and potential clients, including contract renewal information
  • Liaison with clients
  • Serve as an interface between the client and the Company
  • Attend contract review meetings
  • Build effective working relationships with clients generating additional workloads wherever possible
  • Dealing with client requests
  • Communicating client agendas and requirements to other members of staff (including the creation and delivery of Contract Briefs)
  • Ensures that image and standards are maintained at all times
  • Produce PQQ and Tender documents with Bid Team as required and determined by project size.

  • Communicates constructively and actively seeks information
  • Keeps Senior Account Manager up to date with current prospects and orders secured.
  • Build good working relationships with both colleagues and clients
  • Deliver high quality sales appointments
  • Production of accurate quotations
  • Production of PQQ and Tender documentation from standard templates
  • Safety
  • Ensure the method statements and risk assessments are prepared and complaint where required – determined by project size
  • Wear protective items of clothing and use appropriate safety equipment when on site
  • Ensures own and colleagues’ safety at all times
  • Takes responsibility and control of difficult situations
  • Promote and communicate standards/information to colleagues and team members.
  • Monitors and communicates standards/information to other staff within business
  • Identify and escalate any hazards, near misses in line with the Company’s reporting procedures
  • Site based working
  • Work away from time to time, this requirement shall be defined by the operational needs of the business.
