Planner Scheduler
Job Purpose
- Responsible for the effective scheduling of maintenance Work Orders to ensure service contract compliance and to maximise productivity, efficiency and utilisation.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Planning and Organising
- Assign work orders effectively, efficiently and accurately working with maintenance operatives and maintenance supervisors to ensure maximum productivity, efficiency and utilisation.
- Issue Work Orders and Work instructions to operatives to ensure operatives have sufficient information to perform their duties
- Liaise with other departments and clients
- Assist with the mobilisation of service contracts – assist in the identification of required labour resource
- Assist in identifying peaks and troughs in the Forward Maintenance Plan to enable Account Managers to discuss changes with customers
- Liaison with clients
- Frontline customer contact via telephone and email
- Where necessary support clients by answering enquiries and ensuring clients are kept up to date on progress
- Ensures all enquiries from clients are passed to relevant parties
- Communication
- Liaise and work with relevant parties to ensure all work activity is planned, organised and carried out to the contract brief
- Communicate constructively and actively seek information
- Assist in the production of reports for management or clients as required
- Communicate in a committed manner, seeking the input of others
- Consult with Supervisors and Operatives, management, clients and other employees
- Safety
- Promote and communicate standards/information to colleagues and team members
- Take responsibility for your own health and safety and adhere to all the Company health and safety procedures and policies
- Identify and escalate any hazards, near misses in line with the Company’s reporting procedures
- Operational Optimisation
- Recommend improvements to working practices
- Able to prioritise multiple and varied challenging situations
- Able to work to deadlines and multitask
- Willingness to help out; assist other team members as required
- Review operatives route planner’s with Supervisors/Maintenance Assistant Operations Manager to improve productivity
- Commercial
- Provide support to team members and clients as required.
- Improve the productivity of the maintenance contract delivery
- Support in the compilation of area statistical weekly/monthly reports according to business and client needs
- Ensures that image and standards are maintained.
