Location for the role:
- The candidate will live within 50 miles of Manchester, and should be prepared to travel with overnight stays on occasion.
- Targeted accounts are within the Chemicals, Primary Metals, Pharma, Light manufacturing, F&B, Glass sectors
Job Purpose:
At Rock it will be your responsibility to support our customer base in terms of service and value delivery. You will be a good relationship builder, using your knowledge of the customer site to help solve customer water treatment problems with Rocks products and services.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Service role:
- Visit clients on the contracted periods for chemistry testing of water systems using Aqua Manager software reporting.
- The role will include service of cooling towers, boilers and closed loop systems. The applicant will support the cooling tower cleaning team when required in this role.
- Reporting within both to the client and to the assigned account managers in the region.
- Complaint handling and help to resolve any issues.
- Work with operations to meet customer needs.
Service excellence:
- Maintain their test kit in good working order
- Carry out calibration of the testing apparatus and ensuring the reagents are within date.
- Carry out calibrations on client water monitoring probes where required.
- Support in the roll out of new products and services to existing clients.
- Support in training for clients.
Liaison with clients:
- Serve as an interface between the client and Rock.
- Attend contract review meetings as required to support the account management team.
- Build effective working relationships with clients generating additional opportunities wherever possible.
- Dealing with client requests.
- Ensures that image and standards are always maintained.
Communication:
- Communicates constructively and actively seeks information.
- Build good working relationships with both colleagues and clients
- Acting as a point of contact for their contracts for the communication and education of the rest of Rock for the clients' requirements and requests.
Safety:
- Ensure the method statements and risk assessments are prepared and complaint where required
- Wear protective items of clothing and use appropriate safety equipment when on site.
- Always ensures own and colleagues' safety.
- Takes responsibility and control of demanding situations.
- Monitor Promote and communicate SHEQ standards and behavioural culture to colleagues and team members.
- Identify and escalation any hazards, near misses in line with the Company's reporting procedures.
Site based working:
- You will be visiting clients, testing cooling towers, boilers, closed loop systems on a daily basis.
- You will be required to carry out cooling tower cleans as and when needed.
