Job Responsibilities
- Process Compliance: Oversee procedures to align with standards and SOPs. Swiftly act on procedural failures to minimize risks.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure asbestos remediation complies with HSE regulations and keep abreast of regulatory changes.
- Health and Safety Management: Liaise with health and safety consultant, promote safety culture, and manage any incidents effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvement in all areas, identify training needs, deliver sessions, and update competency matrix.
- Quality Assurance: Address customer's quality issues promptly, enhance quality, and ensure project standards.
- Audit and Documentation Management: Conduct site audits, manage critical documents, improve documentation procedures, and use Monday software for quality processes.
- Culture: Act and perform every duty in keeping with the company's core values. Oversee and audit all office, stores and site procedures and systems to ensure alignment with company standards and SOPs.
- Ensure those carrying out any task are qualified and competent to do so. Any failures are to be acted on and appropriate action taken to ensure future failures are reduced.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to all asbestos remediation processes, ensuring they are carried out in full accordance with HSE regulations, approved codes of practice and guidance notes.
- Liaise with the company's health and safety competent person and compliance manager, effectively communicating and rolling out any necessary directives.
- Attend H&S meetings and observe H&S in everything the company does. Communicate any concerns to the H&S consultant and directors.
- Promote a culture of continual improvement across all areas, including health and safety.
- Perform thorough site audits, highlighting any corrective actions that could potentially endanger personnel or the company to the attention of a director.
- Propose solutions and improvements for enhancing quality, customer satisfaction, and fostering a quality culture within the company.
- Foster a quality-focused culture and drive initiatives to solidify its adoption throughout the company.
- Manage any quality issues raised by customers, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
- Engage with HSE representatives during site visits, ensuring all items are closed out promptly, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Ensure standard operating systems are reviewed regularly and updated to ensure industry best practices are being upheld and audited within the correct time periods.
- Visit sites at the request of directors to ensure work is being carried out to the highest standard.
- Sign off completed projects as directed, ensuring high standards of quality are maintained.
- Provide technical support from director level to the office and site team on all aspects of asbestos remediation, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
- Review and audit critical documents such as plan of work and risk assessments.
- Attend meetings as requested and ensure accurate documentation and filing arising from such meetings.
- Chair remediation quality meetings and ensure actions arising are being carried out by those accountable.
- Continually improve site documentation procedures.
- Conduct high-quality site audits and report areas requiring improvement.
- Identify training needs for personnel where improvements are noted and deliver TNA sessions to close out identified failures.
- Ensure the site team is well trained, competent, and maintain an updated and accurate competency matrix.
- Manage and update all boards in the Monday software where used for any quality processes.
- Ensure all documentation in every area of quality is stored and recorded electronically in an organised and easy to access fashion.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability, including correct reporting of incidents and accidents.
- Build a relationship with ACAD or similar and ensure the company is made aware of regulatory changes and HSE policy in a timely fashion.
- Effectively protect and enhance Oracle's HSE asbestos removal Licence.
- Undertake detailed and successful application when renewal is required.
- Take full responsibility for all record keeping across all software packages including Assure 360.
- Ensure monthly quality meetings are held on time with clear and concise agenda which must record all updates and improvements on an ongoing basis.
