About the role
Would you like to become an integral part of our successful Building Control team? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, qualified Building Control professional to join our supportive, modern, customer focused team, to ensure buildings are compliant and residents and visitors of the Borough are safe. You'll join our proactive customer focused Building Control team which has been involved in some exciting developments recently and also has a number of exciting projects to get involved with, including housing developments and commercial projects across the borough. You will experience plenty of variety as you manage and progress a broad range of building control projects to effective completion. In addition, you will help to grow our business by establishing and strengthening working relationships with architects, developers as well as other existing or potential clients.
About you
We are looking for a team member who has a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent construction discipline and has corporate full membership of either MRICS, MCABE or MCIOB and must be registered at either Class 2 or 3 with the Building Safety Regulator. You must be self-motivated, be able to work on your own initiative and have broad experience in Building Control legislation and enforcement processes. You must have proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
