Essex County Council (ECC) is delighted to be supporting Rochford District Council in recruiting an IT Support Officer on a full‑time, temporary basis. Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to work on‑site only.
Working Location: Launchpad, Airport Business Park, Cherry Orchard Way, Rochford, SS4 1YH
The Role: Do you want to be part of a motivated and dynamic, forward‑thinking IT Team? Do you want opportunities to work with the latest cloud technologies? The Technical Officer will work with the Technical Analyst to provide first‑line, first‑class Technical Service Desk support using strong customer‑skills backed by technical knowledge. You will be a key part of the delivery of our Digital, Data and Technology services. The work will involve a variety of support tasks, including hardware commissioning, decommissioning and general IT support. Knowledge of Microsoft technologies is required; knowledge of ITIL is advantageous.
