You will be at the heart of delivering our new Environment Strategies. A key function of the role will be leading environmental engagement with our residents, community groups and businesses, to deliver real change that enhances the health, wellbeing and prosperity of our local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver meaningful engagement to empower environmental action.
  • Develop and deliver an environmental communication plan to ensure regular outreach activities are planned and delivered.
  • Provide expert environmental advice (e.g. energy saving, grant referrals).
  • Support monitoring and evaluation of initiatives and projects.
  • Build productive and collaborative relationships with internal and external teams.

Qualifications

  • Help us celebrate success by developing and cascading best practice case studies.
  • A strong interest in the environment.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A full drivers license and access to a car to support travel across Brentwood and Rochford.
  • Flexible approach to hours, including occasional out of hours working.
  • A strong team player.
