STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Rochester Regional Health Home Care - Monroe Ave.

DEPARTMENT: Home Care

SCHEDULE: Day shift, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8 hr. shifts, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patient Evaluation & Development: Meet the patient's goals and needs by providing quality, evidence-based care; assess, develop, and implement an individualized treatment plan.
  • Patient Care: Help patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices/recommendations; instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing daily living activities and in using assistive and supportive devices.
  • Leadership: Develop the speech-language therapy staff; provide information, develop, and conduct in-service training programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology (may be MA, MS, Med).
  • Required Licensure/Certification Skills: New York State licensure or for recent graduates: Completion of at least 9 months supervised Clinical Fellowship year or eligible to participate in a supervised Clinical Fellowship year by a NYS licensed Speech Language Pathologist with a NYS Limited permit, followed by the NYS licensure examination and achievement of the NYS license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Kind and patient-focused.
  • Home Care Only: Current N.Y.S. Driver's License is required to drive one's own car in order to meet essential functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Speech-Language Pathology experience is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a medical setting preferred.

EDUCATION: MS: Speech Pathology (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: SLP - Speech-Language Pathologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED); CCC-SLP - Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASLHA).

PAY RANGE: $32.93 - $47.00
