SUMMARY As a Manager, Nursing, your ability to multitask and oversee multiple areas of the unit allows for the successful flow of information and consistent management of needs to achieve quality care.

ATTRIBUTES
- Nursing Degree required, BSN preferred
- Minimum three (3) years acute/continuing care clinical experience
- MDS proficiency preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily Management: Ensure safe and appropriate staffing levels and skills during all hours of operation; maintain ongoing communication with staff regarding performance; develop and assess department goals and objectives; act as a resource to department, staff, patients and other department staff and the community.
- Leadership: Act as a liaison and facilitate the flow of information; assure completion of incident reports and patient complaints with appropriate follow-up; support and communicate standards of care, management philosophy and objectives; provide input regarding departmental budget for staffing supplies.
- Patient Care: Develop the resident care plan and ensure implementation through the interdisciplinary team; develop, implement and evaluate in conjunction with Senior Director of a department Quality Improvement Plan.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
