As an Anesthesia Tech, your excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control helps you to manage anesthesia equipment and supplies, while assisting with daily functions of the Anesthesia Department.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Management: Maintain all anesthesia equipment; manage quality control by recognizing malfunctioning equipment and taking necessary action; perform minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Procedure Assistance: Prepare anesthesia equipment and supplies for use; calibrate and check equipment accurately before each use; assist with procedures as assigned; stock anesthesia carts with extremely high-risk medications (may handle meds, sharps and syringes); maintain a clean, safe and adequately supplied workroom.
- Maintains Ideal Working Operations: Contribute to maintenance of supply inventory, ensure there are adequate levels of available supplies and complete monthly pharmacy inspections.
Required Qualifications: None.
Preferred Qualifications: H.S. diploma preferred; Previous anesthesia experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
Pay Range: $18.10 - $20.00
