Rochester Independent College (RIC) in Kent is seeking a Part-Time Teacher of Graphic Design (0.6 Contract / 3 Days a Week) to join our thriving and highly successful Visual Arts Department from September 2026. Awarded Dukes Education Setting of the Year in 2025, RIC offers a distinctive, creative, and deeply inclusive international environment with small class sizes (averaging just 8 students). Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Graphic Communication lessons to GCSE and A-level learners following the AQA specification.
- Facilitate a wide range of traditional and digital skills, including brand identity, packaging, illustration, and digital arts.
- Offer dynamic workshops and run extra-curricular clubs across year groups.
- Differentiating teaching to support individual student needs and provide constructive feedback.
What We Are Looking For
- A degree in Graphic/Communication Design (Essential).
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (Essential); knowledge of Procreate is a plus.
- Traditional art/design techniques (Essential).
- Teaching experience at A-level or higher is preferred, but industry experience is highly valued.
- A commitment to inclusivity, safeguarding and sustainability.
Salary: £16,080 - £25,400 per annum (0.6 pro rata of £26,800 - £42,333 FTE), dependent on experience and qualifications.
