The Position
As part of our dynamic Product Development Regulatory (PDR) function, the Regulatory Intelligence team serves as a flexible, bold, and forward-thinking organization.

The Role
In this dynamic role, you manage regulatory intelligence for our fast-paced pharma and medical device portfolio, focusing on the EU landscape.
You will provide strategic, data-driven regulatory recommendations, master advanced intelligence tools, and collaborate across development teams.
This role drives innovation by developing advanced AI tools and scalable systems to maximize efficiency and elevate regulatory intelligence.
- Maintain a proactive regulatory intelligence overview of the fast-paced pharmaceutical and medical device environment in the European Union to inform the organization and enable smart, agile decision‑making.
- Gather comprehensive regulatory data and translate it into high‑value, actionable insights for the business.
- Disseminate regulatory intelligence efficiently across the entire organization using a variety of dedicated communication channels.
- Provide sound regulatory advice and policy recommendations grounded in deep scientific and regulatory expertise.
- Utilize and master a dedicated suite of internal and external intelligence tools, platforms, and search engines.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain critical infrastructure—including databases, third‑party engines, and vendor relationships—to effectively track global health authority updates (e. g. from the EMA and other European regulatory bodies).
- Build and nurture dedicated networks across Roche to leverage collective expertise and maximize the knowledge of the broader organization.
- Act as an agile contributor who embraces change, fosters cross‑functional teamwork, and boldly drives innovative outcomes that deliver tangible value to patients, stakeholders, and the company.
- Focus on building and enhancing the next level of Regulatory Intelligence leveraging advanced AI tools and setting up systems that are scalable and increase efficiency.
Who You Are
We are looking for a strategic thinker who blends technical expertise with the ability to influence and collaborate across a global organization.
- You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Life or Natural Sciences, backed by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in regulatory intelligence or drug development.
- You possess a strong understanding of the global regulatory environment with an in‑depth understanding of regional and global drug development processes, regulations, and guidelines, and experience working with health authorities.
- You are a self‑directed professional who has a proven track record of independently delivering and leading complex projects from conception to successful execution.
- You have proven critical thinking abilities, generating deep insights and connecting the dots across deliverables to ensure optimized, high‑impact outcomes.
- You bring fresh ideas to the business, champion continuous improvement, and proactively prioritize outcomes that deliver the highest value to the organization.
- You are highly adept at utilizing and maintaining regulatory information management databases, analyzing and interpreting complex regulatory data, and you have strong computer skills across Microsoft Office, G Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Veeva Vault and familiarity with AI tools.
- You possess outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex data into clear, meaningful insights, and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional and matrix‑based global teams.
- This role is based onsite at our Welwyn, United Kingdom office.
Our team follows a hybrid work structure, requiring a fixed number of onsite days per week.
