As the Head of L&C Business Operations, you will serve as the operational architect and transform the global Legal & Compliance (L&C) function into a high‑performance, data‑driven, and tech‑enabled strategic partner.
Responsibilities
- Digital Innovation & AI Leadership – Define and evolve the L&C functional AI strategy, prioritise use‑cases for maximum business impact, lead the development of agentic workflows and self‑service solutions, and govern the citizen‑development framework.
- Data Strategy & Governance (Domain Lead) – Own L&C data strategy, drive data readiness, quality, and curation across global systems, and shift the function to predictive analytics.
- Strategic Operations & Financials – Execute the smart‑sourcing framework, manage global outside counsel and vendor panels, optimise the legal‑fee budget, and maintain financial forecasts that reflect real‑world needs.
- Operational Risk, Control & Business Process Management – Ensure the effectiveness of the L&C risk‑management framework, support risk‑control self‑assessments, and redesign L&C processes for digital readiness.
- Strategic Collaboration – Work in a triad with the Chief of Staff, Head of Strategy, and Head of Digital Technology to translate legal requirements into technical specifications and deliver citizen‑development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Senior leader with at least 8 years of experience in legal operations, finance, or digital transformation within a complex, highly regulated global environment.
- Digital fluency with proven experience implementing LLMs and AI agents in a corporate setting; deep understanding of the Legal Tech ecosystem.
- Financial fluency, including expertise in legal‑spend architecture, vendor management, and commercial models for cost predictability and budgeting.
- Systems‑thinking ability to map and redesign complex processes for a human‑empowered, AI‑enabled world.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a track record of partnering successfully with senior stakeholders.
- Change‑leadership experience, having led large‑scale cultural and workforce transformations and upskilled professionals in new technologies.
- Collaborative partner of function, speaking the language of Legal, Finance, and IT fluently.
